Kara Pitek is a Democratic candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates (District 31) representing Southern Prince William County and Eastern Fauquier County. Kara grew up in a family that believes in public service and fighting for our values.
From a young age, Kara saw that creating change means taking action — a lesson she has carried with her throughout her life. A parent of two, Kara volunteers with several local organizations distributing food to communities in need, helping families pay down their children’s school lunch debt, and supporting LGBTQ+ youth. She is also a leader with the Prince William Democratic Party working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
Now Kara is stepping up to become the next Delegate for District 31!
Kara is a project manager for a small federal contracting firm working to help the government fulfill its mission as efficiently and effectively as possible. She lives in the Ashland community in Eastern Prince William. Kara serves on the Prince William Housing Board and is a former Commissioner on the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
